I just rediscovered the first chapter of "The Adventures of Esteban the Monkey" in one of my old journals. I started it about a month after my sister was in a local production of Conrad Seiler's play The Wonderful Adventures of Don Quixote.
We were down at Disney World in Florida, and one night as we were leaving Denny's after going to one of the parks, my dad thought he saw a monkey running around the restaurant. It wasn't, but I was inspired to write a story about what would happen to the play's character, Esteban the Monkey (as played by our friend Stephanie), if he went to Disney World.
I'd only written what is now the first chapter in that old journal. I only just rediscovered it, typed it up, and uploaded that chapter to my FanFic account. In writing the future chapters, I'm going to try to stick to the original plot as much as I can remember what it was, but I kind of doubt that'll really work out.
